How much does Dishista cost?
Dishista costs $3.99 as a one-time purchase. You pay once when you download it from the App Store or Google Play — there's no subscription, no in-app purchases and no ads.
Do I need an account?
No. Dishista works without signing up. Your profile, favourites and meal plans are saved on your device.
Does Dishista work offline?
Yes. All recipes and photos are part of the app, so you can browse and cook without an internet connection.
How do I change the language?
Dishista starts in your phone's language if it's one of the nine we support. To switch, go to Profile → Language (or Settings → Language). Both the app and all recipes change.
How does the meal-plan guide work?
Open the Plan tab and start a conversation. The guide asks about your goal, how long the plan should last, which meals to plan, your calorie target, diet, ingredients you avoid, cooking time and favourite cuisines. It then builds a plan from our recipes and explains its choices. Everything runs on your device.
You can swap or remove any meal, add a recipe from its page with Add to meal plan, or start from one of the ready-made themed plans.
Is the meal plan medical or nutritional advice?
No. Plans are general inspiration based on recipe data, and calorie values are approximate per serving. If you have a health condition, are pregnant or follow a special diet, please talk to a doctor or registered dietitian.
Can I hide recipes I can't or don't want to eat?
Yes. In Settings → Diet & tastes choose your diet, the ingredients you avoid and how spicy you like it. You can show a warning on those recipes or hide them completely.
Where do the photos come from?
Recipe photos come from Wikimedia Commons and are used under free licences (CC BY, CC BY-SA or public domain). The author and licence are shown under every photo, and you'll find the full list in Settings → About → Photo credits. If you are the author of a photo and would like it credited differently or removed, write to us at dishistaapp@gmail.com.
Deleting your data
Dishista doesn't have accounts and stores your data only on your device, so you can delete it yourself at any time:
- Open Settings → Privacy & data and tap Delete all data. Your profile, saved recipes, cooked dishes, meal plans and settings are removed immediately.
- Or simply uninstall the app — all of its data is removed with it.
We don't keep a copy anywhere. If you have emailed us, ask and we'll delete that conversation too. See our privacy policy for details.
